If you’re seeing this, then this is a 403 error test. Every single time I publish some content, whether it be a game, a post, anything, I get a 403 error for a few hours, then it gets cached and it’s a pain. I have disabled all plugins, cleared my htaccess file, nothing I seem to do will fix it. I removed the trailing slash with this latest test and we will see if that fixes it with this particular post. If this doesn’t work, I have no idea what to do, so hopefully this works. If it does then I will update this post.

Update: Well there is no 404 error, the previous post does have a 404 error, even though it’s showing /403.shtml/ in the URL, so I am not sure why, but it is definitely going to the 404 page. Removing the trailing slash seems to have fixed it for now, or it’s because there’s currently one already up with the 404. My site is almost 20 years old, I have never done a fresh install of WordPress. I have updated my tables manually to be InnoDB and not MyISAM since no WordPress update addressed that. I have moved from Dreamhost to Hostgator, to a VPS. All that could play a factor in this too. Is removing the trailing slash the fix for this? Maybe. It appears to be. Everything so far looks okay, so I guess we will see when I post the next article. Initially I thought it was a cache issue, but with Supercache disabled and Cloudflare in development mode, it was still doing it. At least now, if it does happen without the trailing slash, instead of going to /403.shtml/ it should just go to 403.shtml, which could show the right page.

I am not sure how this will affect the new stuff that I alluded to in the previous post though. I will know for sure when I get the first one or two up, but through testing it right now, everything looks okay. I guess time will tell for sure though.

This week is Thanksgiving and for the first year in a long time we’re not doing anything. Honestly, that is fine as Thanksgiving and even Christmas have no meaning for me anymore. Sure it was one thing when you’re a child, but now I see not only the commercialization of it, but the greediness of it. People use the Cyber Sales all month long on things for themselves and I think even Black Friday is the same.

I know I am guilty of this as well. We’ve spent a lot of money on deals this year getting the stuff we need or want for ourselves. The sad thing is sometimes they aren’t even that good. Looking at Honey, I saw something that was say $300, go up to $400 and then 2 days later come down to $295 so they could say it’s $105 off. I worked in retail during Black Friday before and it was a shitshow, don’t get me wrong, but I don’t remember marking things up in price only for them to come down a few days later. It’s crazy to think retailers are doing this now, especially when now is the easiest time in history to track and can be tracked automatically.

I will be spending my Thanksgiving gaming and getting this new section ready. I think I have it figured out, I spent yesterday trying to come up with a solution for it and I think I finally have it sorted out. The idea came from Ubersuggest who kept telling me create content for this, even though it doesn’t fit into what I already had, so now I am working on a section that will fit into these kinds of suggestions. I wouldn’t have even considered it unless there were multiple of the same kinds being suggested, so now I am going to be adding it and I’ll see how well it does. It will tie into the games section and hopefully expand on that in a positive way.

I am also trying to figure out if I can use the Xbox API to track and retrieve Achievements automatically. There was a way I used to do it, but now it seems like that is no longer working. My idea with it is to automate getting the Achievements and showing them on the games pages. If I can get this to work, then I will also look into doing the same for Playstation and maybe even Steam Achievements. I am trying to show as much information there as I can, including past streams, story summary, etc. I have a lot of old videos I started going through as well, so even if a game doesn’t have a playthrough attached to it yet, that doesn’t mean it will always be that way. I am probably going to be spending the long weekend working on that when I am not working and gaming.

Happy Fibonacci Day everyone! There’s been a lot of rumors going around for the MCU, so let’s get into it!

MyTimeToShine says that “There is a plan for the West Coast Avengers in the MCU.” and will be spun off of the Vision television show coming after Secret Wars. Given the amount of characters in the MCU now, plus more coming with the X-Men, more teams would make sense.

Cosmic Circus is reporting that both J.A.R.V.I.S and F.R.I.D.A.Y will both be appearing in the Vision series. They also say that Ezekiel Stane, the son of Obadiah Stane from the first Iron Man movie, will appear in Ironheart and is played by Alden Ehrenreich. The Nova series will reportedly help kick start the next Saga for the MCU after the Multiverse Saga, as it’s said to be more cosmic based. Does this mean it won’t be heavily focused on mutants as once thought?

Even though Spider-Man 4 has not even filmed, rumor has it that Spider-Man 5 will feature Daredevil and Kingpin. According to the Cosmic Circus, Fisk will be mayor and his focus will be to take out vigilantes in order to prevent them from stopping his criminal empire.

Finally they claim that Wonderman, who has a series set to debut next year on Disney+, will be part of the next Avengers movie.

Scooper Jeff Sneider says Spiderman 4 is facing some delays and may not make it’s intended release date and may get pushed to later in 2025 or even 2026. Speaking of Spiderman 4, Glass Onion and Outer Banks star Madelyn Cline is rumored to cast in an unspecified role. Could she be Black Cat or Gwen Stacy?

Alex Perez says that the plan is to have the symbiote piece left behind in the last movie to have a part in the Multiverse Saga. Beyond the current saga, “the idea is to go back to basics. They want to have that Devil’s Reign storyline play out in a Spider-Man film.” He also said they are throwing around ideas to bring in Miles Morales into the MCU and the Spiderman universe. We could also be seeing him before his next adventure, “I know they are trying to get him to appear in a short cameo in Daredevil: Born Again as a tease that Fisk and his Punishers are hunting vigilantes like him down, but I don’t know if it’ll pan out that we’ll physically see him,”

MyTimeToShineH says that Galactus and Franklin Richards have a connection. “It’s personal because Galactus is after Franklin Richards. He tells them to bring the boy to him or he’ll destroy the Earth.” The scooper has also shared that we will be seeing Wesley Snipes Blade again, “sooner than we think.”

Agatha All Along ended a few weeks ago and in another few weeks, the third and final season of What If will debut, but that’s not all that’s in the pipeline. Next year there’s Daredevil Born Again, Fantastic Four and more.

Speaking of What If, the last season is said to be very important and we may see Uatu, Captain Carter and Kahhori in the next Avengers films, along with some legacy characters.

Rumors are looking like Franklin Richards will be a toddler in next year’s adventure, but will be a teenager in Avengers Doomsday. Robert Downey Jr. is rumored to also make his debut in the post credits scene of the movie. Alex Perez says that Scarlet Witch and Doctor Doom will be paired up, but not in a romantic way. Wanda will be there trying to make up for her actions in Westview and Multiverse of Madness.

Perez also says that Dr. Strange has been missing for two years the next time we see him again. He also says that while the TVA may be less powerful than they’ve been given credit for thus far, though we should see them again. In one of the next Avengers movies we are also said to be getting the Council of Reeds that will be made up of Ioan Gruffudd, Miles Teller, John Krasinski, Alex-Hyde White, and Adam Driver.

It’s said that Armor Wars is still happening, but Captain Britain will likely be introduced in the MCU’s next Saga and not be in the next few movies.

Perez says that the plan is to reboot the MCU after Secret Wars, having some things change, but essentially continue on as if everything happened happened, but potentially adding the Fantastic Four and mutants to 616. Before Majors was fired, it was supposed to be revealed that He Who Remains left them out of the universe on purpose.

The Cosmic Circus says that Daredevil Born Again is going to have Muse have the same powers he does from the comics, super human strength and speed. They said that previous interactions with the other Defenders will be hinted at and that Marvel would like them all to reprise their roles at some point. MyTimeToShine has said that Punisher will be getting a Disney+ show of his own after he returns in Daredevil Born Again.

Finally, the biggest and greenest rumor is that Marvel is planning to introduce Maestro. This could mean that the next saga could see a World War Hulk movie or series.

UPDATE: Kojima Productions has confirmed that they now own the Death Stranding IP. This could mean that we see Death Stranding 2: The Beach on Xbox and PC a lot sooner than initially anticipated.

In a very surprising move this morning, former Playstation exclusive Death Stranding was put on Xbox Series X/S. The former exclusive is a Playstation IP and the sequel, which is set to be released next year, is still planned to be a PS5 exclusive, but that may change. A few months before the first game came out Hideo Kojima, the game’s creator, announced that it would only be exclusive to the PS5 for a limited time and then would go on PC. The same might happen for Death Stranding 2.

While the game has never been available on Xbox consoles before, it was available on Game Pass PC for about a year. 505 Games has published the game on PC and Xbox, while Sony Interactive Entertainment published the game on Playstation.

This is surely a surprise move as it was published on Xbox and no announcement was made before hand. Exclusives seem to be dwindling down as it seems both Sony and Microsoft are becoming more open to putting their IPs on other platforms. Indiana Jones and Doom The Dark Ages are planned Playstation releases and those IPs are owned by Microsoft. Sony is putting their Lego Horizon Zero Dawn game on Nintendo Switch and while no Xbox version has been announced, given today’s shadowdrop, it coming to Xbox does not seem out of the realm of possibility.

What do you think about this exciting new drop on Xbox? Is it a game you’ve been wanting to play? Right now it is on sale. I played it on PC and I will say it’s a unique experience. It may not be for everyone as there’s a lot of walking and playing delivery man, but it was a great story.

In a blog post from November 4, 2024, Sony has listed all the PS5 Pro Enhanced games that will be available on day 1 for the upgraded system. While the list contains some obvious first party Playstation games like God of War Ragnarok and all 3 Spider-Man games, the list also contains some impressive and unexpected third party titles, including Dragon Age: The Veilguard and Call of Duty: Black Ops 6. Dragon Age: The Veilguard is impressive because it just came out last week and Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 is unexpected because Sony’s rival, Microsoft, owns Activision. During the court cases regarding their merger last year, Sony noted their fear that Microsoft could strategically or incidentally degrade the quality and performance of Call of Duty on PlayStation. Clearly their fears were unfounded as they’ve enhanced the game for the Pro console.

Sony says that the new hardware means that the PlayStation 5 Pro will render games up to 45% faster than the original PlayStation 5. It will have 2-3x the ray-tracing. They’ve also announced that the PS5 Pro will have PSSR (PlayStation Spectral Super Resolution Upscaling), which improves resolution and quality on compatible games.

While this isn’t as big of upgrade that some gamers have been saying it would be, (it’s not the rumored 33 teraflops) it is a big upgrade and with Grand Theft Auto 6 coming in 2025, that game alone could be a huge system seller. With all the other upgraded games already announced for the system, it’s sure to sell well. Will you be picking up the PS5 Pro or is it not worth it for you? Are you going to wait for next gen? Kris’ family came down last week so as usual, I didn’t stream when they were here, but even if they weren’t here, I was pretty sick. I still don’t feel one hundred percent better, but I am feeling a lot better than I have been. I don’t usually get sick, even when I had Covid, I think I was at most really bad for 24 hours and then after that I was back to working normally. Obviously I wouldn’t have been if I had to leave my house to work, but when you’re working from home, you don’t need to worry about that kind of thing.

Since I am still sick, I don’t really have the urge to stream just yet. My throat hurts and I don’t want to talk that much just yet, but Black Ops 6 just came out and I haven’t played it that much. I did play it for a little bit on Tuesday and some last Friday, right after it came out. So far I have only played the zombies mode, which when it comes to Black Ops games, is usually my favorite modes, but I really want to get into multiplayer after playing the beta. I normally wouldn’t even be playing it at all, but it’s on Game Pass so it’s nice that I can. There was a few years where I bought a new COD every year, but I haven’t done that in a few years now.

I’m currently waiting for a hosting company to upgrade PHP. They were supposed to do it at midnight, but now it is 4AM and I haven’t heard anything since 2AM when I got a message that they were starting it. I’ve been up since 10AM Tuesday morning and I am exhausted. I am hoping they will email me soon that it is done so I can do some quick tests and make sure everything works, then get some sleep. I’ve spent all year working to get this done it seems. There’s been around 4-5 long term projects I’ve been working on, including server moves, PHP upgrades, file deletion, etc. If and when this is done then I will be able to focus on the last long term project, which is basically done too, I just need to run some tests.

While waiting for the server company to get back to me, I went into my own database and changed my MySQL tables from MyISAM to Innodb. I think new installations of WordPress use Innodb by default, but older ones use a combination of the two. MyISAM will lock the whole table when really you just need to lock the row you’re updating. This change alone has sped up this site a lot. It should have happened a long time ago, but I forgot about it until I had to update my database when we were moving servers. If you haven’t changed to Innodb yet, I highly recommend it, you will more than likely see a speed boost on your website.

The MCU is getting bigger every week it seems and almost everyday there’s new and more exciting rumors for both the MCU and beyond. The following should be taken with a grain of salt, but there is a possibility that these are true and actually spoilers. Reader beware…

Agatha All Along concludes this week and the big rumor is that the Witches’ Road doesn’t actually exist. It was a trick Agatha used to draw other witches in and steal their powers. Billy Maximoff manifested the road into reality and Agatha went along with it.

Daniel Richtman claims that Marvel will only be releasing two movies between Avengers Doomsday and Avengers Secret Invasion. One of them is Spider-Man 4, but the other one is unknown. According to Richtman, Marvel is eager to end the multiverse Saga as soon as possible.

Richtman has also said that in Thunderbolts*, we’ll find out that Bill Foster developed cancer and Ghost has been taking care of him.

Richtman has also shared that Marvel wants Gwyneth Paltrow back for the next Avengers movies. He also says that they are wanting Billie Eilish for an upcoming project. Other rumors point to Eilish being eyed for Rogue.

Alex Perez says that Spider-Man 4 will not only debut between the next Avengers movies, but be set between them and not a prequel like Black Widow was. If Spider-Man 4’s title is the King in Black, which was rumored a few months ago, then surely he will get the alien suit.

Henry Cavill and the studio has been having multiple meetings, at least according to John Campea. It’s not for more appearances of Cavillrine, but other super heroes.

Blade was recently removed from Marvel’s upcoming release schedule, but despite that, Mahershala Ali has no issues with the delays and is happy and excited with the current direction it’s taking. It’s rumored to be getting rewritten and will be filmed in 2025 with a smaller budget.

Marvel Animation is gearing up for a new CG project, but that won’t debut until the final season of What If and Eyes of Wakanda. There’s also been rumors that Spider-Man ’98 has been discussed as well. That is something that I have been hoping for since X-Men 97 was announced.

Clearly Tifa is the favorite, but then again, are we really surprised? Has any other Final Fantasy character come close to the popularity that Tifa has?

At New York Comic Con, Insomniac and Sony announced that Spider-Man 2 would be coming to PC on January 30, 2025. This is just the latest Playstation exclusive coming to PC, while it also joins the other two Spider-Man games that previously came to PC. Insomniac also announced that there was no additional content planned for the game.

Last year Insomniac Games data had been breached and a lot of confidential information was leaked. That information included DLC for Spider-Man 2, Spider-Man 3, a Venom game that was supposedly aiming for a 2025 release date, and a multiverse game. Given that the third and final Venom movie is coming in a few weeks, NYCC would be the perfect time to officially announce the Venom game. It’s possible that the game isn’t coming in 2025 or that it is cancelled all together, like the DLC appears to be.

Also in the leak was the Wolverine game that was announced years ago. If the rumors are true, then Insomniac is gearing up to officially show more of the game relatively soon. Speculation has been that it will be shown at the Game Awards in December, if not before hand. If true, then Wolverine could be the next game from Insomniac Games and one of the next Sony games to be published to the Playstation 5. Given that the Playstation 5 Pro is set to be released in a few weeks, maybe Wolverine will get an early 2025 release date to bring more interest to the upgraded console.
