Title
Art Imitating Life Wednesday, August 15th, 2007 at 2:14 pm

Krissy and I only have one picture together and we’ve been together for over a year. It’s not that we don’t want to have pictures taken, it’s just that one of us usually doesn’t like the way we look in it, and then gets deleted. It’s a real shame, considering I found something that I think it really cool. I’ve stated about how I love strange decorations and other things that many people don’t have. Well I found something else I would like to have and that is art portraits. Not just your average art portraits, though, it is art portraits of photographs.

You give them a photo and they make it into a piece of art. It isn’t your run of the mill paintings either, you can go can have your picture in a watercolor form, a charcoal form, or even an oil painting. I love the idea of having an oil painting of one of my photographs. I’d even love the idea of having an oil painting of my home. I don’t know there is just something in an oil painting that make life seem less serious at times, like your looking into art where nobody has the problems of the everyday life. Isn’t that reason enough to own one?
